Penny

Meet Penny! This adorable, tiny bully girl has the shortest legs and widest shoulders, loves everyone she meets, and is a super friendly, happy girl with cuddly moments and bursts of excited, playful energy. She came to us from a situation where she wasn't getting proper care and spent most of her time in a small crate. Penny is about 2 years old and weighs 33lbs. She is adorable and so lovable, but as a breed, she is known for many health issues and shortened lifespans. Adopters should be aware of potential intolerance to heat, breathing issues, and arthritis, which are prevalent due to how the breed is often bred. Commitment to regular vet visits, maintaining a healthy weight, and careful monitoring will be essential. Thankfully, Penny is in pretty good shape all things considered so far!

Ideal Home

Penny would do best in a home that can provide her with a nice, cool, air-conditioned environment, especially during warmer months. She does better with a fenced yard for potty breaks rather than on leash walks and is looking for an adopter who understands her breed's potential health concerns. Penny can be a bit bossy and territorial with other dogs, so she would be best as an only pet or possibly with the right larger, submissive male dog in an experienced home.
