Meet Arf! This handsome pup is a 9-10 month old, 70-75 lb mix of Great Pyrenees and Cattle Dog, based on DNA testing of his littermates. Arf is a neutered male who is up-to-date on vaccinations, including DHPP, rabies, and bordetella, and he is also microchipped. He was named Arf because that's the sound he made as a puppy! Like many Great Pyrenees, Arf can be a little reserved with new people initially, but he warms up quickly. He might step away if you pet him over the head, but he absolutely adores chin rubs, body scratches, and face kisses. Once he's comfortable, he'll welcome hugs and even head kisses! Arf has been great when introduced to new dogs and enjoys playing with them. He's a very easygoing boy who loves treats and doesn't beg for attention or jump up. While he used to be a frequent barker, he now only barks when he sees cats or chickens. Arf is a silly boy just looking for his perfect people!

Arf would thrive in a home where his new family can help him build confidence. He is not a fan of cats or chickens.

Training & Support
Arf can be a bit of a resource guarder when it comes to food, which may be due to his current outdoor living situation. He also needs some practice on a leash, as he hasn't had much exposure to walking on one. Someone willing to work with him on leash training will be key to his success.
