Meet Hershey, a delightful 3.5-year-old, 42-pound spayed female Pit Bull Terrier/Bulldog mix whose personality is as sweet as her name! Hershey was found as a stray in Houston, Texas, and has since blossomed in foster care. She's a low-rider cuddle bug who absolutely adores her people and thrives when she's part of the family's daily life, happy to be curled up next to you on the couch or following you from room to room. Hershey is fully housebroken, does well in her crate, and walks calmly on a leash, enjoying neighborhood strolls. She's playful and curious, and while generally mellow indoors, she loves a good case of the zoomies in a yard. Loud noises like fireworks and thunderstorms can spook her, so a calm and secure environment is important during those times. Hershey has had positive experiences with children and would likely do well with respectful kids. She's also made good progress with other dogs, though her bouncy play style means she'd do best as the only pet or with a calm, tolerant dog who doesn't mind her enthusiastic approach. While we don't have experience with cats, slow, supervised introductions or a cat-free home would be ideal. Hershey is looking for a stable, loving home where she can be someones loyal sidekick.
