Uno the One Eyed Wonder

I spy with one little eye! Meet Uno, our one-eyed wonder with a heart full of love, goofiness, and a serious passion for toys, treats, and snuggles. This handsome 4-year-old shepherd mix weighs about 81 pounds and has the most striking long legs and a slender build. Uno may be missing an eye, but he compensates with twice the personality, charm, and love! He's a true comedian, capable of making you laugh until your cheeks hurt, then melting into your lap for a nap.

Uno absolutely adores people. He'll lean his whole body against you for pets, sit on your feet, and look up at you with a soulful golden eye that conveys, "You're my favorite person." He's affectionate, gentle, and a total heart-stealer, described by fans as bouncy, cuddly, and simply happy to be alive. His favorite pastime is toys – squeaky, rope, bouncy, he's not picky! He proudly carries them, tosses them, and gathers them like precious treasures.

He's also wonderful with children, showing patience and gentleness. He happily accepts treats from tiny hands and gives the softest kisses in return. If you have kids who would love a big, goofy, snuggly dog for fetch and movie nights, Uno is your guy.

Uno recently enjoyed a fantastic day out at the park, happily hopping into the car and taking in the scenery. He was polite, didn't bark at squirrels, and made many new friends. He even discovered the joy of pup cups! He would thrive with a family who enjoys taking him on adventures.

When it comes to canine companions, Uno is a bit selective. He prefers dogs with good vibes and tends to get along best with playful, goofy females who are non-confrontational, especially those a bit smaller than him. However, he wouldn't mind being your one and only good boy, soaking up all your attention!

At home, Uno is a perfect blend of playful and calm. He's crate-trained and quiet, knowing when it's time to relax. A home with a yard would be ideal for him to stretch his long legs, but he's adaptable and could even do well in an apartment with an active family. Uno is truly one of a kind – a cheese-loving, toy-hoarding, snuggle-seeking sweetheart ready to give and receive love.

Ideal Home

Uno would love a family that will take him out on adventures. He'd love a home with a yard where he can stretch out those long, majestic legs and bask in the sunshine. However, with an active family, Uno could even squeeze right into apartment life! Uno prefers dogs with good vibes only and tends to click best with playful, goofy girls who don't take life too seriously. He absolutely would not mind being your one and only good boy, though!

Ongoing Health

Uno is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable. He has also been heartworm tested.

Training & Support

Uno is crate-trained and quiet. He knows when it's time to chill.

Transportation

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA certified transport system. Transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick up is in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. You can track their journey in real time and receive photo updates. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
