Meet Arthur! Arthur is a charming 5-year-old, 78-pound neutered Staffordshire Terrier/Retriever mix with a heart as big as his personality. He's a wonderful blend of an adventurous spirit and a devoted cuddle bug. Arthur was found wandering in a park and, after being brought to a shelter, our rescue team quickly fell in love and found him a wonderful foster home in Houston, Texas. He's ready to find his forever family and can be transported once matched.
Ideal Home
Arthur would do best in a home that can provide consistent exercise and structure, where he can be an active part of the family's daily life. While he doesn't require another dog, he would thrive with people who enjoy including their furry friend in adventures. Because of his size and enthusiasm, a home with children who are older and understand how to interact safely with a larger, energetic dog would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Arthur is a healthy boy!
Training & Support
Arthur is fully house-trained and crate-trained, and he settles nicely into his crate for extended periods. He's a fantastic car passenger and absolutely loves car rides! He may pull a bit on walks initially but quickly settles into a good pace. Arthur is outgoing, playful, curious, affectionate, and incredibly sweet. He enjoys toys, quality time with his people, and soaking up attention. He has a charming habit of thinking "if I fits, I sits!" Arthur has successfully interacted with dogs of various sizes and has shown curiosity towards cats and pot-bellied pigs, but always with a gentle demeanor.
