About Started Service, Therapy or Facility Professionally Raised Lab Puppies

Two exceptional Labrador Retriever puppies, born March 20, are available and have been held back to begin formal working dog training. These puppies were raised by a professional dog trainer with 26 years of experience in service, therapy, and facility dogs, focusing on cultivating healthy, highly trainable companions. They have received early training and are highly socialized with people, cats, other animals, and dogs. These intelligent pups already know commands such as sit, down, stand, circle, and roll over, along with a few tricks! They are proficient at walking on a loose leash, ride quietly in the car, settle calmly in crates or on tethers, use a dog door, and are completely accident-free. Both parents have OFA health testing. The sire is an accomplished shed hunter and retriever, while the dam is an athletic 26mph athlete trained in therapy work and dryland mushing. Raised in a home environment, these puppies are ready for a seamless transition to your family and potential therapy or service careers. They have tested and performed exceptionally in their training, demonstrating confidence throughout their development.

Meet Learning With Dogs. Led by Kristin Baker, an IAABC Certified Canine Behavior Consultant, Certified Professional Dog Trainer, and AKC CGC Evaluator training dogs since 1999. Backed by a Master of Education, a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences, and extensive experience as a Montessori educator, our program is deeply rooted in the specialized philosophy of Mindful Dog Handling. This positive, relationship focused approach adapts early childhood educational principles to canine care, focusing on the core framework of observing, breathing, and serving the dog in front of you. While our primary goal is producing exceptional service, facility, and therapy dogs, we thoughtfully consider dedicated pet homes where ongoing training and daily enrichment are a clear priority. The mechanics of breeding, such as evaluating genetic compatibility, assessing parental temperaments, and ensuring excellent maternal nutrition are a focus. While these steps are critical, breeding is only the baseline. The true distinction of our program lies in the intensive, hands on, in home puppy raising. Because the learning curve is so steep in the beginning, our puppies remain with us until they are 10 to 12 weeks old, ensuring they head out into the world running with absolute confidence. From the moment of birth, our puppies are touched with purpose. By carefully guiding their developing nervous systems to a quiet, stable balance, we cultivate adult working dogs and companions that can navigate life's challenges without panic or dysfunctional fear. The period from birth to 16 weeks is a monumental time for neurological development, much like a child moving from infancy to the toddler stage. Through mindful handling and purposeful environmental exposure, we support this crucial window of growth. A puppy's first experiences must be distinctly positive. Rather than isolating our litters in a whelping box for eight weeks, we actively curate their introduction to the world. Consider the traditional breeding model: a puppy is raised in a quiet, isolated space, heavily sheltered from daily activity, and then abruptly sent home at eight weeks. Within 24 hours, they are subjected to a car ride with strangers, initial crate isolation, and overwhelming new stimuli. For many dogs, this abrupt transition results in trauma induced phobias that take a lifetime to unpack. By contrast, a puppy raised by a behaviorist and professional trainer learns to learn. Surrounded by the comforting familiarity of their littermates and trusted handlers, they are gently introduced to vehicle rides, novel people, safe adult dogs, and comfortable crate relaxation. They begin basic obedience training, leash walking, sound exposure, swimming, and navigating physical obstacles across our homestead. They learn early on that human interaction is safe and distinct from dog play. The result of this immersive socialization is simple: a beautifully balanced, happy, and confident dog ready to join and change your life. We believe a sound mind requires a sound body. Our parent dogs are champion bred and undergo rigorous health testing. We ensure specialist graded OFA tests as the breed standards require. Our goal is to pair the most balanced temperaments with the healthiest bodies possible, and our puppies proudly come with comprehensive health and temperament guarantees.
