This little guy is Sake Sushi! He is approximately 6 weeks old and weighs about 2 pounds. We believe he might be a German Shepherd and Husky mix, but with rescue, it's always a bit of a mystery! What's not a mystery is how much he needs a loving home. He's currently in an area with extremely high shelter populations, and puppies like him are at risk. By choosing Sake, you're not only saving his life but also making space for another animal in need.
Sake is a wonderful blend of playful energy and snuggly sweetness! He's been raised in a foster home with other dogs, so he's well-socialized and learning to be a fantastic companion. He enjoys energetic play sessions with his siblings but is just as happy to curl up on your lap for a good cuddle afterward. With his affectionate nature and puppy charm, Sake is sure to bring immense joy to his forever home. We are dedicated to providing you with detailed information about his personality and behavior to help ensure he's the perfect fit for your family. You even have the option to meet him via a video call before finalizing his adoption!
Ideal Home
Sake is still very young and will need a family committed to providing him with the training, socialization, and dedication that puppyhood requires. He's at a stage where new experiences are shaping his personality daily. Establishing a routine, providing structure, setting clear boundaries, and ensuring proper socialization from the start are crucial for his development.
Ongoing Health
All vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative, and a heartworm test and treatment if needed, are included. He will also receive a microchip with free lifetime registration and a health certificate deeming him healthy for travel.
Training & Support
We require that all adoptive families commit to crate training their new puppy immediately upon arrival. This will greatly assist with potty training, managing his energy levels, and fostering the development of a well-rounded adult dog.

Sake is currently located in Texas. We offer nationwide transportation through our rescue-run, USDA-certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pick-up options are in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You can track your pet's journey in real-time, receive photo updates, and connect with other adopters and fosters via a private Facebook event page. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
