Bear Buddy Heart

Bear is a handsome, approximately one-year-old, 60-pound dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He's confident, curious, and loves soaking up attention. Bear is treat-motivated and eager to learn, making him a fantastic candidate for continued training. He's already house and crate trained, and enjoys lounging with his people.

Ideal Home

Bear would thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and ongoing training. He would do best with a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his size or playfulness. A dog-savvy, confident cat might also be a good companion, with slow introductions.

Bear has no known ongoing health conditions.

Training & Support

Bear is still in his puppy phase and needs continued guidance with leash walking, especially around other dogs, as he can get a little too excited. While he's social and interested in other dogs, his play can sometimes be a bit strong. With proper introductions and the right dog match, he can be a wonderful playmate. He respects boundaries, as shown with a resident chihuahua in his foster home.

Bear is currently in Texas. We facilitate nationwide adoptions using our transport system, with drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. You can track your pet's journey in real-time. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
