Mimi

Meet Mimi! This sweet hound mix is about 3 years old and weighs around 55 pounds. Mimi's journey began in a tough spot, having been abandoned in a rural Mississippi trailer park. When she was found, she was very underweight and battling heartworms while nursing seven puppies. Thankfully, a kind rescuer took her in, and after her puppies found loving homes, Mimi herself received the care she needed for her heartworms and has been brought up to a healthy weight. Now, this friendly girl is ready to find her own forever family! Mimi adores people and children and gets along well with other dogs. While she initially barked at outdoor cats, she has shown great improvement and is now doing well with the indoor cats in her foster home. She's already house-trained and crate-trained, making her a wonderful companion. Mimi would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where she can safely explore and play to her heart's content.

Ideal Home

Mimi would love a home with a fenced-in yard where she can run and play freely. She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys the company of people and children. We're still learning about her interactions with cats, but she's shown progress indoors.

Ongoing Health

Mimi has been treated for heartworms and is up to date on her shots. She has also been spayed.

Training & Support

Mimi is house-trained and crate-trained, which are fantastic steps toward a happy life together!
