Goyito

Goyito is a small dog with a big heart, weighing in at approximately 12 lbs and estimated to be 3-4 years old. This cheerful, playful, and affectionate Schnauzer mix is always ready for kisses and cuddles. He gets along wonderfully with dogs, children, men, and women. While he might be a little nervous and bark at new people initially, his sweet personality truly shines through once he feels safe. Goyito has a past filled with hardship; he was abandoned by his family, experienced life on the streets, and even survived being hit by a car. Despite these challenges, he's maintained a joyful spirit and an incredible capacity for love. Now, he's safe, obedient, and brimming with affection, just waiting for a family that will cherish him forever. Adopting Goyito means offering peace to a soul that never stopped believing in love.

Ideal Home

Goyito would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. He needs a family with the intention to truly rescue and understand the needs of a street animal, providing protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, or a commitment to hiring a trainer to help this intelligent dog succeed. He requires high tolerance and patience, especially as he is not house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Goyito has undergone a comprehensive health protocol, including being spayed/neutered, receiving DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and microchipping. He tested negative for heartworm, received a 4DX test and certificate, and is on monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. He also has a health certificate and vaccine booklet. Please note that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period and patience to overcome past trauma.

Training & Support

Goyito is not house-trained. It's important to understand that rescued pets often have unique behaviors due to their past experiences and may not be potty-trained. Patience and understanding are crucial for his adjustment period, helping him build trust and strengthen his bond with his new family. Establishing a routine and clear boundaries will also help him feel secure.

• Fill out our adoption form.
• Submit photos/videos of your home to ensure your future furry friend will be safe.
• If it's a match, we will call or video chat to introduce you to the pet and conduct a virtual home tour.
• We will speak with 1-2 of your references.
• If approved, you will sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which covers vet care, spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, food, and more.

Transporation

Goyito is currently fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast. Door-to-door delivery is available through a partnered transport company that organizes scheduled trips 3-4 times a year. A transport fee of $400 USD covers the journey from Mexico to your home. Real-time updates will be provided during the journey, and the transport team will conduct a final home review upon arrival.
