Arlo is a handsome dachshund mix, 7-8 years young and weighing about 18 lbs. He's a long-haired charmer who has gotten along well with other dogs. Arlo has a sensitive side, so patience is key. He's not a fan of baths, having his lower back touched, or being picked up just yet. However, if you give him his space and let him warm up to you in his own time, he'll show you his sweet nature. Tossing him a treat with a cheerful greeting and then moving on is a great way to build trust. He came to us from a public shelter and has adjusted well to his new surroundings, even making new canine friends. He's a gentle soul who will often "ask" for pets by gently touching you. Arlo has been with us for a while, and we're eager to find him a forever home where he can blossom into a social, cherished, and loving companion.
