A little about them
Last Hope is seeking foster homes for larger dogs weighing approximately 40–80 pounds, including labs, shepherds, border collies, springers, hounds, boxers, and mixes. Fostering helps dogs find permanent homes while allowing Last Hope to save more animals.
Ideal Home
Foster dogs may be owner surrenders, unclaimed impounded dogs, or dogs from other shelters. Some may need support with housebreaking, leash walking, basic obedience, brushing, and settling into a home.
Fosters can help assess the best permanent home for their dog and learn about screening, training, and responsible dog ownership. Some dogs may require a fenced yard or acreage, and dogs are not placed in homes with children under 4.
Ongoing Health
Last Hope provides all veterinary care for fostered dogs.

Food, a plastic or wire crate, treats, and toys are provided. Foster dogs may attend public adoption events to meet potential adopters.
