About BIG DOG FOSTERS NEEDED!

Last Hope is seeking wonderful people to open their homes and hearts to our bigger breeds, from 40 to 80 lbs! These magnificent dogs, including Labs, Shepherds, Border Collies, Springers, Hounds, Boxers, and mixes, are often overlooked and truly deserve a chance. Fostering these gentle giants is a fantastic way to experience different breeds and help us expand our intake, saving even more lives. We'll provide food, crates, treats, and toys, and cover all veterinary care. All we ask is that you bring your foster dog to at least two public adoption days a month so they can shine and find their forever families. Our adoption events are held at the Apple Valley Petco every other Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm. You'll have a say in finding the best home for your foster and will learn valuable screening techniques.

Ideal Home

A home that can accommodate a larger dog, offering love and patience. We do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 4.

Ongoing Health

Last Hope provides all necessary veterinary care for fostered dogs.

Training & Support

Some dogs may need a little extra help with housebreaking, leash walking, or basic obedience. They also need regular brushing and lots of love until their perfect home is found. If you fall in love with your foster, you have the option to adopt them permanently by paying the adoption fee.

Our dogs are currently with fosters in the Apple Valley area. We do not offer transportation services.
