Meet Vanna, an approximately 4-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her personality! Vanna is a playful, affectionate, and devoted companion who truly loves to be by her human's side, earning her the nickname "velcro dog." Once she bonds with you, she's happiest wherever you are, whether that's cuddling on the couch or exploring the great outdoors.
Ideal Home
Vanna would thrive in an active home that can provide her with plenty of opportunities for play and adventure. She enjoys games of fetch and going for walks, and she's a fantastic car rider, making her the perfect sidekick for any outing. While she's not a fan of smaller dogs and can sometimes be reactive on leash, she has shown to be good with dog-savvy cats. She may do well with older children (12+) who understand how to give her space and respect her boundaries.
Ongoing Health
Vanna is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She is currently working through some challenges related to past trauma and is actively addressing negative behaviors around other dogs.
Training & Support
Vanna has some resource guarding tendencies with food, toys, and people, so continued support with training and consistent boundaries will be important. She also needs ongoing work on leash manners and occasionally has accidents, though she is crate trained and settles nicely into a routine. With patience, consistency, and understanding, Vanna has a wonderful potential to continue growing into an even more amazing companion.
