Meet Hercules! This handsome, affectionate cattle dog mix is a sweet guy who's been with us for a while. Hercules is a smart and active boy who truly embodies the spirit of his breed. He thrives on having a job to do and plenty of exercise, which can be a challenge to provide in a shelter environment. Because of his extended stay in a kennel, he has developed some anxiety. A behavioral trainer has evaluated him and found him to be a wonderful dog with no aggression, but he does have boundaries and triggers that need to be understood and handled with care. More than anything, Hercules needs an outlet for his energy and lots of opportunities to run and play!

Ideal Home

Hercules would do best with an adopter who is experienced with herding breeds and understands anxiety in dogs. An active family who can commit to daily exercise and provide a calm, reassuring environment will help him feel secure. It’s important for his adopter to respect his individuality and boundaries.
