Forever home found!

I'm Hazel, a 1-year-old, 13 lb Boston Terrier mix with a heart full of playful energy! I came to my foster home as a stray and was a bit shy at first. But with the help of my foster siblings, I've learned that people are pretty great, and I love getting treats from them and seeing what they're up to. I'm still a little cautious when people try to pet me, so I'll need a patient and understanding family to help our bond grow. I get along well with other dogs, cats, and kids, but I do need a confident and tolerant canine companion in my new home. They'll be my safety blanket and my puppy coach as I continue to learn about the world. I love to play, play, play and turn everything into a fun toy, often rearranging blankets and pillows in the process. I'm crate-trained and sleep through the night, but I'd love to snuggle up in my family's bed once we're bonded.

Ideal Home

I need a patient and understanding family who can help me grow my confidence. A confident and tolerant canine companion is a must for me! I also prefer a low-activity household, even though I love to play. I am not suited for apartment living.

Ongoing Health

I'm all clear on the health front and have no special needs. All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.

Training & Support

I'm house-trained and leash-trained in progress. I'm still learning basic puppy stuff and social skills, so patience is key to my success. I can be a bit mischievous and love to spread my toys around.
