Mia

Mia is a 10-month-old, spayed female with a black and white rough coat. She weighs 50lbs and would benefit from a fitness routine. Mia came to us as a transfer from a partner shelter because she was too active for her previous home. She is crate-trained, travels well in a vehicle while crated, and is appropriate when meeting new adult humans and other dogs. Mia has had brief encounters with cats in foster care and may be able to live with them with proper introductions and boundaries. She walks reasonably well on a leash but would benefit from further training.

Ideal Home

Mia would thrive in an active, social household that enjoys training and can keep a young, energetic dog engaged. Homes with other dogs would be a plus. We do not place dogs in homes with young children (generally under 12) if they have no prior history of living with children.

Mia is a young, healthy dog.

Training & Support

Mia is crate-trained and walks reasonably well on leash, though further training is encouraged. We encourage all adopters to take training classes.
