About Ponderosa Perfect Prince

Meet Ponderosa, or "Pondsy" as we affectionately call him! This handsome, almost 2-year-old Shepherd/Lab mix is about 60 pounds of pure sunshine, goofy charm, and the best boy energy you could ask for. Pondsy has a glossy black coat and warm brown eyes that will melt your heart. When he sees his favorite people, get ready for the famous "Pondsy Wiggle," a happy tail wagging at warp speed, and an instant demand for belly rubs!

Pondsy is the ultimate adventure buddy, always happy to join you for a hike, a walk, or even a car nap. He's curious, silly, and always up for some fun, but he's also a champion snuggle bug who loves to relax after a day of excitement. He absolutely adores other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful, medium-energy female dog to romp with. However, he'd also be perfectly content to be your one and only, soaking up all the attention.

Ideal Home

Pondsy would do best in a home without cats, as he finds them a bit too interesting. He can also be a little overwhelmed by small children, so we recommend a home with teenagers (13+) and adults. He's adaptable and could even do well in a first-floor apartment if he receives enough exercise and mental stimulation, though a yard would be a bonus!

Ongoing Health

Pondsy is a true trooper! He's undergone leg surgery and completed physical therapy, coming out stronger and happier than ever. While his back leg has a unique charm now, it doesn't slow him down one bit, and he still loves to run and play.

Training & Support

Pondsy is a well-rounded pup who benefits from ongoing enrichment. Our trainers work with him on various aspects of his development to ensure he's ready for his forever home.
