Mr. Waffles is a handsome one-year-old male Terrier mix who arrived at our shelter on June 10, 2026. He was found without any information, leaving us to wonder if he was a stray or if his family had to leave him. He was understandably frightened when he first arrived, and we can't fathom why anyone would abandon such a sweet boy. Mr. Waffles has a lovely tan-and-white coat, a long tail, and a charming face with light brown eyes, a white muzzle and forehead stripe, a liver-colored nose, and large, semi-erect ears. Our dedicated kennel techs and staff have showered him with extra TLC and have already fallen in love with his sweet nature. He may take a little time to warm up, but once he trusts you, he becomes your most devoted best friend. Mr. Waffles craves attention and loves to snuggle. He just needs a patient and understanding person to help him build his confidence and relax into the joys of companionship. Please look past his initial shyness and give him the time he deserves to show you his true, loving personality. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would likely thrive with a friendly canine playmate to help boost his confidence. Mr. Waffles has a playful spirit just waiting to be unleashed with a little encouragement. He weighs approximately 50 lbs and appears to be housetrained. Mr. Waffles was neutered and received a rabies vaccination on June 29, 2026. He was briefly with a foster family who planned to adopt him, but he proved to be a bit too energetic for them. He's an overgrown puppy still in his chewing phase, though he got along well with their other dog.
Ideal Home
A home that can provide him with patience and understanding to help build his confidence and allow him to relax and enjoy companionship. He would likely do well with another friendly dog as a playmate.
