Journey

Journey is a handsome, sweet, and smart 3.5-year-old neutered male husky with a heartwarming story. He weighs between 45-50 lbs and was born on August 17, 2022. Journey gained attention when he was famously rescued during a hurricane in Houston, even swimming to shore before being safely caught. Since then, he's discovered the joys of a loving home and is ready to share his life with a special family. He gets along well with most medium to large dogs, both male and female, though he has a specific dislike for one particular red husky.

Ideal Home

Journey would thrive in a home with school-aged children, a couple, or a single person who will include him in their daily life and adventures. He would not do well in an apartment setting and absolutely needs a fenced yard to run and play. He is not to be left tied out or given access to an electric fence.

Ongoing Health

Journey is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, is heartworm negative, and is on monthly prevention. He has been neutered and microchipped.

Training & Support

Journey knows his basic commands but is not yet trained to be off-leash. He loves the water and has no issues with car rides.

Transporation

Journey is currently in a foster home located in Fort Worth, TX. Transport to your area is available through our rescue after the adoption is finalized. If you prefer to arrange your own transport, the adoption fee will remain the same.
