Rumi

Rumi was found in rural Texas, unfortunately abandoned and in poor condition with a tick infestation that threatened her survival. Thankfully, she's now safe and on the path to a brighter future. Born around March 21, 2026, Rumi and her littermates are a bit shy and timid as they adjust to life indoors and learn to trust. They are a sweet bunch who will blossom with patience and love.

Ideal Home

A home that understands that shy and timid dogs need time and gentle encouragement to feel secure. A quiet environment where she can decompress and learn at her own pace would be ideal. Rumi requires a means of safe outside containment, and invisible fencing is not an option.

Ongoing Health

Rumi is current on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. She has been fecal tested, heartworm tested, and is on preventative medication for heartworm, fleas, and ticks.

Training & Support

As Rumi is still learning about indoor living and building confidence, she will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training. Patience and consistency will be key to helping her blossom into a well-adjusted companion.

• A vet reference is required.
• A home visit will be conducted.
• An adoption donation of $350 is requested.
• A lifetime contract is part of the adoption process.

Transportation

Rumi is located in Omaha, NE. While we are open to out-of-state adoptions, you must be able to travel to Omaha to complete the adoption process after a home visit has been completed. We do not transport or ship our dogs.
