Meet Veda, a perfectly playful puppy whose entire approach to life is basically: "Wait... we can PLAY in that too?!" Mud puddle? Amazing. New dog friend? Incredible. Couch cuddles afterward? Best day ever. This girl is pure sunshine wrapped in velvet fur and giant mismatched ears. One ear stands straight up like she's trying to contact aliens, while the other just flops dramatically to the side. Combined with her soft little puppy face and warm brown eyes, she genuinely looks like a cartoon character brought to life.
Veda is the kind of puppy who makes everything feel exciting. She doesn't just walk through life, she fully launches herself into it with joy. During her assessment, she discovered a flooded muddy yard and immediately decided it was the greatest place on earth, zooming through puddles and trying to convince every dog to join her muddy water party. She came out of it a completely brown puppy, and couldn't have been prouder of herself!
Ideal Home
Veda would absolutely LOVE an adventurous home. Hiking trails, beach days, camping trips, lake weekends, backyard sprinkler time, and long walks exploring new places are all on her wish list. She is the kind of dog who wants to experience life WITH her people. She is curious, playful, outgoing, and genuinely thrilled to be included. She could do well in an apartment with an active family, but would absolutely THRIVE in a home where she gets to explore, play, and be involved in everyday life. Bonus points if there's water nearby! While she hasn't been kid-tested extensively, she did meet a child briefly and was super sweet and excited. Since she's still a big playful puppy who jumps when excited, we'd recommend older or dog-savvy kiddos while she continues learning manners.
Ongoing Health
Veda is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines. She has received multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, is microchipped, and has been spayed. She also received flea prevention and a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable.
Training & Support
Veda is very treat-motivated, which will make training and continued growth a rewarding experience. She is currently in a foster home where she's thriving and showing more of her beautiful personality every day. She is playful without being rude and is super good at reading social cues for such a young puppy. She also showed herself to be sweet, respectful, and curious during her cat test, even exchanging little face licks with the cat. While we would do a further sleepover to be sure, all signs point to her being a kitty-friendly gal.

Transporation
Veda is currently in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. A $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
