Meet Pepe Le Pew! This 9-week-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix is the masked bandit of his litter, always on the lookout for a good chew stick! Found abandoned on the streets of Houston with his 9 siblings, Pepe is a sweet boy who is full of love and charm. He's on the smaller side of his pack, preferring cozy snuggles and puppy kisses to causing trouble. Pepe is a lover, not a fighter, with a gentle personality that's impossible to resist.
Ideal Home
Pepe is looking for a family committed to helping him grow into a confident, well-mannered adult dog. He's a brave and social pup who should do well with kids, cats, and other dogs when introduced appropriately. However, due to his tiny size, any other pets in the home should be gentle and experienced with very small dogs, and all interactions should be supervised. Pepe cannot be left alone for long periods of time, so we are looking for a home where someone is present more often than not for socialization, training, and care. If you work outside the home for more than 4 hours at a time, we will not be able to consider your application unless there is another adult in the household available to care for him during the day.
Ongoing Health
Pepe is a young puppy, and adopters should be prepared for some mystery as his adult size and breed mix are unknown.
Training & Support
Pepe is still learning about the world and needs consistent training, frequent potty breaks, positive reinforcement, and patience as he learns. Puppies thrive with structure, routine, and supervision.
