Pickles - Handsome, Sweet Boy, Loves Cuddles and Great with Dogs

Pickles is the kind of dog who wins you over with his sweet, simple charm. He is happiest when he is close to his people, soaking up affection, giving kisses, snuggling beside you, and rolling over for belly rubs. More than anything, Pickles just wants love and companionship. He has a medium energy level and strikes a lovely balance between enjoying a little fun and being easy to live with. When he gets the chance to be off leash, he loves to zoom around and stretch his legs, but after about 5 to 10 minutes, he is more than ready to come back inside, cool off in the AC, and relax. Indoors, he is reliably calm and placid for long stretches, making him a wonderful companion for a home that wants both a little playfulness and a lot of cuddle time. Pickles walks fairly well on a leash and is also great in the car, which makes him an easy buddy to bring along for outings and adventures. He tolerates a crate well when needed, too. Pickles is not especially interested in toys — he is a pretty simple guy who would much rather spend his time loving on his people than entertaining himself with playthings. Pickles has done well getting to know and live with four different dogs, including a visiting dog recently, which shows that he can share his space successfully with other canine companions. He will chase cats, so a cat-free home would be best for him. He is doing well on house training but he has occasional accidents. He is crate trained. At the end of the day, Pickles is a loving, cuddly, easygoing dog who just wants to be part of a home and close to the humans he loves. He is 3 years old, a lab mix and weighs 50 lbs.

Pickles is neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on vaccines.

Training & Support

Pickles is doing well on house training but he has occasional accidents. He is crate trained.

Pickles is located at our partner rescue in Houston, TX. Transport can be arranged to the Northeast for approved adopters.
