Meet Simba!
This handsome eight-year-old Boxer, with his striking brown brindle coat and white accents, is a joyful whirlwind of a dog. Simba approaches life with a sense of delightful mystery, easily captivated by a rolling toy or an interesting sound. He's incredibly food-motivated, making meal times his favorite event and a fantastic opportunity for positive reinforcement and learning. Simba is seeking a loving new home after the passing of his devoted owner.
Despite his impressive 97-pound frame, Simba is convinced he's a lap dog and loves to lean into his people for cuddles, often forgetting personal space boundaries. He sleeps soundly when left alone, enjoys his chew toys, and lights up for walks and car rides! Simba is friendly with other dogs and has lived harmoniously with his canine companion, Sophie, bringing a playful and easygoing energy. While he hasn't been around cats, his gentle and social nature suggests he might be open to new friendships with a careful introduction.
Simba is affectionate and patient with children, but his enthusiasm can be a bit bouncy for very young ones, so guidance and supervision are recommended to ensure everyone feels comfortable. He can be a little timid in new situations and may take a moment to warm up to unfamiliar people, but once he feels secure, his sweet and content personality truly shines.
Simba thrives in a calm, confident home where his family understands the charm of a Boxer, including their slobbery kisses and constant desire for closeness. A household where someone is often home for companionship and cuddles would be ideal.
