Charlie is a handsome 1½-year-old Black Mouth Cur/Lab mix who weighs about 85-90 pounds. He's a sweet, energetic boy with a fun-loving personality and a love for all things ball-related (though he's particularly fond of tennis balls and enjoys a good game of keep-away!). Charlie was sadly left at a shelter and was on the euthanasia list due to space, but he was given a second chance and is now eagerly waiting to find his forever family.
Ideal Home
Charlie would do best in a home with teenage children or adults due to his size and enthusiasm; he might accidentally knock over smaller children. He'd thrive with an active single person, couple, or family who enjoys outdoor adventures and would make an excellent hiking or running partner. He prefers female dogs over males and has not been cat tested, but his high energy might be too much for a feline friend. Absolutely no tie-outs or electric fences for Charlie.
Ongoing Health
Charlie is up to date on vaccinations and is heartworm negative.
Training & Support
Charlie is crate trained and fully potty trained. He's a very smart boy who already knows several commands including heel, sit, come, stay, off (no jumping), and gentle when taking treats. He is still working on "down." With his intelligence and eagerness to learn, he could excel in advanced training or agility.
