Louis

Louis is a 6-year-old pup searching for his loving forever home. He found himself in rescue after his parents went through a divorce, and his mom, a Malinois trainer, is now expecting children and can no longer keep him. Louis was found roaming the streets, having escaped a home where he was neglected and abused, left outside and underweight. He's now a healthy 60 lbs and is incredibly loving, craving affection. He's fearful of loud noises and thunderstorms, often becoming a lapdog during storms. Louis is also reactive to sudden movements and needs a home that respects his space. He is friendly with adults and children when outside his home, but he is fearful of them inside the home.

Ideal Home

Louis would thrive in a home without children, as they can startle him. He needs a home that respects his space due to his reactivity to sudden movements. Adopters must have prior breed experience and a strong personality, as he may bark at nervous energy at first but warms up to confident people. A fully fenced yard is a must, and invisible fences are not an option.

Ongoing Health

Louis is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Louis can play rough, which may annoy other dogs, though he can live with or without a canine sibling. He is a "velcro dog" who loves to be near his humans and craves attention, but it takes him time to trust. Once he trusts, he is loyal and loving. His current mom is a Malinois trainer and is familiar with his triggers.
