Meet Dahlia!
This beautiful 44lb Black Lab Mix, born around May 5, 2023, has a heart as big as her puppy energy! She's a fun-loving, sweet girl who's always ready for an adventure, a cuddle, or a new friend. Dahlia is eager to learn, loves being around people, and gets along wonderfully with dogs and cats alike. Her story is nothing short of incredible. She was found living under a house with her 6-week-old puppies, doing everything she could to keep them safe. Thankfully, rescue stepped in, her puppies were adopted, and just when her own future looked uncertain, a foster stepped up and changed her life forever! Now safe and thriving, this happy pup is ready for the forever home she truly deserves.
Ideal Home
Dahlia thrives with companionship and would do best in a home with other animals to play with and learn from. Whether she's zooming around the yard, making new friends at the park, or curling up after a busy day, she brings joy everywhere she goes.

Dahlia is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.
Training & Support
Dahlia is already using a doggy door to go potty like a pro and is currently learning leash training. Like many young dogs, she still has some puppy habits she's working through. She is working on crate training, and plenty of toys are very helpful for her success. She absolutely loves having lots of toys to play with and does best when she has enrichment and companionship. She's still young, curious, and learning about the world, so she'll do best with a family excited to continue her training and help her grow into the amazing dog she's meant to be.

Transporation
Dahlia is located in Houston, TX. Transportation to your area is included in the adoption fee, with pickup locations potentially varying in nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles converted for dog transport. You will be able to track the van using the Life360 app and receive updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are also available to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be prepared to use one of these services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
