Haylee

Meet Haylee! She's a vibrant 9-year-old Cur mix with a personality as big as her heart. Haylee came to us when her beloved owner sadly passed away. While her brother quickly found his forever home, Haylee has been patiently waiting for her turn. She's a wonderful dog, but the shelter environment hasn't been ideal for her, primarily because she's quite the escape artist and loves to climb fences! She needs a home with a fully enclosed wooden or vinyl fence to keep her safely contained during her enthusiastic zoomies and playtime. Haylee does enjoy playing with other dogs, but she prefers to be the queen of her castle and does not get along with other alpha females. This, combined with her fence-climbing tendencies, can make her a bit trickier to place, but we know her perfect match is out there!

Ideal Home

Haylee needs a home with a fully enclosed wooden or vinyl fence to accommodate her love for running and playing. She also does not get along with other alpha female dogs.

Ongoing Health

Haylee recently had three growths removed and biopsied. The results showed Grade II mast cell tumors, which are low-grade. Since the removal, no new growths have appeared, which is a very positive sign! Our vet has started her on Benadryl twice a day to manage her condition. With this daily medication, which is inexpensive and easy to administer, Haylee has the potential to live a long and happy life.

Training & Support

Haylee is a fence climber and will need supervision during outdoor play. Ensuring her yard is secure with a wooden or vinyl fence is crucial.
