About Brie

Meet Brie! She's a stunning, approximately 3-year-old, 60+ pound livestock guardian breed with a heart of gold and a story of resilience. When she arrived at a local shelter, life had been tough. She was battling heartworms, her coat was sparse, and she carried the weight of hardship. But Brie's spirit never wavered. With dedicated care, good food, and time, she's blossomed into a truly beautiful dog, inside and out. Brie is an independent thinker, deeply loyal, and naturally protective, as is characteristic of her breed. She may take a moment to warm up to new people, but once she trusts you, you'll have a devoted companion for life.

Ideal Home

Brie would thrive in a home with an experienced guardian breed owner or someone eager to learn about these special dogs. A securely fenced yard is essential for her to safely explore and enjoy the outdoors while staying connected to her family. She's not meant for an outdoor-only life; she craves family inclusion, with the freedom to enjoy both indoor cuddles and outdoor adventures. Due to her breed and cautious nature, a home with older children who understand respectful interaction with dogs is recommended. She hasn't been tested with cats, but squirrels are a definite attraction for her.

Ongoing Health

Brie has successfully completed her heartworm treatment and is now fully recovered. She will arrive spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations.

Training & Support

Brie is new to indoor living but has adapted wonderfully to her kennel environment, demonstrating cleanliness and good behavior. With patience and consistency, she's expected to transition beautifully into a home setting. While she has done well with other dogs after slow introductions, a home without other pets might be easiest, especially for out-of-state adopters who cannot facilitate in-person introductions.
