Meet Hershey, a 3.5-year-old, 42-pound spayed female Pit Bull Terrier/Bulldog mix with a heart as sweet as her name! She was found wandering the streets of Houston and is now in a loving foster home, ready to transport out of state once her perfect match is approved. Hershey may be pint-sized, but she's got a big personality and even bigger love to give. She's blossomed into a loyal, affectionate, and easygoing companion who bonds deeply with her humans and thrives in a home where she can be part of the family's daily life. She loves nothing more than to be curled up next to you or following you from room to room.
Ideal Home
Hershey is looking for a stable, loving home where she can continue to thrive and feel safe. A calm, secure environment is important, especially during loud noises like fireworks and thunderstorms, as these can spook her. She has had a positive experience with children and would be a great match for a home with respectful kids. While she's made great progress with other dogs, her bouncy play style might do best with a calm, tolerant dog who won't mind her enthusiastic approach, or she might prefer to be the only pet. We don't have history with cats, so slow, supervised introductions or a cat-free home would be best.

Training & Support
Hershey is fully housebroken and does well in her crate. She's great on a leash and walks calmly. Her little bark is all part of her charm, letting you know if someone's at the door! While generally mellow indoors, she enjoys regular walks and time outside. She loves a good case of the zoomies, especially in a yard where she can run off some energy.

Transportation
