Honey

Honey Comb is a 6-year-old, 68 lb Terrier mix who is as sweet and affectionate as her name suggests. She's a perfect blend of playful energy and chill vibes, always happy to be by your side. Whether you're watching TV, reading, or just relaxing, Honey Comb loves to be close, resting her head on your lap or nuzzling in for cuddles. Don't worry about too much slobber, though – she's not a big kisser!

Despite her love for closeness, Honey Comb is also independent and can entertain herself with toys or chew bones, making her an excellent work-from-home companion. When it's time for fun, she's ready for zoomies, neighborhood walks, car rides, and puzzle toys. She greets everyone, young and old, with a big smile and a wagging tail, and her signature "stop, drop, and roll" is her way of asking for belly rubs. She's incredibly smart, learns routines quickly, and is respectful around food.

Honey Comb is an "active couch potato," happy to lounge but always up for an adventure like a car ride. Her mornings start with a playful wiggle, followed by some tug-o-war or puzzle games. She enjoys leisurely walks on nature trails and longer hikes. Her favorite activities involve simply being with her humans, but she also enjoys her toys and can keep herself busy. She would be thrilled to receive a monthly BarkBox for new toys and chews.

Ideal Home

Honey Comb is great with kids aged 4 and up, as she can sometimes get a bit too enthusiastic with her happy tail and might accidentally bump smaller children. She would thrive as the only pet in her home, where she can soak up all the love and attention. She has not been tested with cats, so a feline-free home is recommended. She would prefer a quieter suburban or rural area and needs a securely fenced backyard for playing fetch and sunbathing. Public dog parks are not recommended.

Ongoing Health

Honey Comb is fully up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, has been spayed, microchipped, and is on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She has a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian and has received any necessary vet care while in our care.

Training & Support

Honey Comb is kennel trained, potty trained, and leash trained. She shows excellent leash manners on quiet nature trails. She is not destructive and can be trusted when left alone. She will communicate when she needs to go outside by "tap dancing" by the door. She is happy to sleep in a kennel but would love to sleep with her family or on a dog bed next to the bed.

Honey Comb is in a foster home in Austin, TX. She can be adopted and transported to various locations; please visit wags.com/transport-locations for more information. Adoptions are finalized before transport. We cannot arrange for typical meet-and-greets due to transport distances.
