Ideal Home

Sandy thrives in a home that understands her need for a patient approach and provides her with a secure, fenced yard for exploration. She does best with at least one other dog in the home, as canine companionship helps build her confidence. A home with older, respectful children would be ideal, as sudden movements can startle her.

Ongoing Health

Sandy is a healthy girl who has been fully vetted. This includes DAPP vaccination with a booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also tested negative for heartworm.

Training & Support

Sandy is fully crate trained and a perfect potty-trained lady, having had no accidents in foster care. She walks beautifully on a leash, remaining non-reactive to distractions, and enjoys short car rides. While not strongly treat-motivated, she adores Colby Jack cheese, which is used for administering her flea medication. She is quiet and rarely barks, making her a perfect addition to a peaceful home. Sandy enjoys affection on her own terms and shows it with slow movements, relishing chin scratches, head rubs, and chest massages.
