Meet Captain!
Captain is a seven-year-old dog who is as attentive, warm, and present as they come. He has a way of looking at you that makes you feel like the most interesting person in the world, and he'll likely make you feel that way too! Captain came to us already knowing his basic commands, walking nicely on leash, and being crate trained. During his time with us, he showed an incredible focus and an eagerness to work, excelling in agility training with confidence and enthusiasm. He's not just smart; he's the kind of smart that wants to partner with you. When he's not working, Captain is a champion couch potato, happy to relax during movie nights or slow mornings. He's a medium-energy dog who enjoys his daily walks and outdoor time but is equally content to unwind inside afterwards. His short coat is immaculate, and his fosters have found him to be one of the cleanest dogs they've ever had. Captain is deeply people-oriented and has shown affection towards children, possessing a gentle presence that could make him a wonderful emotional support animal.
Ideal Home
Captain has a strong prey drive, so he is not safe around cats, livestock, or small animals. He can do well with other dogs, but introductions should be done thoughtfully on neutral ground. His ideal home is with someone experienced with bully breeds who understands the importance of structure and consistency for his well-being. A securely fenced yard is a strong plus.
Ongoing Health
Captain is up to date on vaccinations and is currently on a three-way flea, tick, and heartworm prevention protocol. He has been cleared as healthy and is ready to go.
Training & Support
Captain knows his basic commands and walks well on a leash. He is crate trained and has a strong drive to engage in training activities. He thrives with structure and consistency.
