Meet Willow!

Willow is a courageous and resilient two-year-old Siberian Husky/American Pitbull Terrier mix with a tricolor coat and an unstoppable spirit. She has a zest for life and loves exploring the world, whether on a brisk walk or an adventurous hike, always happiest when with her person. Despite a challenging beginning, she has blossomed into a loving and curious girl.

Ideal Home

Willow would thrive in a single-dog home where she can be the center of affection. She prefers a calm, adult family that values routine and kindness, and guardians who are home often. Due to a past incident with a mail carrier and nipping when overly excited, a home without a mail carrier who might startle her and with patient individuals who can help her navigate her protective behaviors is ideal.

Ongoing Health

Willow is a distemper survivor but has fully recovered and is thriving.

Training & Support

Willow is a clever girl who is crate trained, house trained, and knows the "sit" command. She is currently working through fear of strangers and protective behaviors in a board-and-train program focused on building confidence. She can guard her food around other dogs and tends to nip when overly excited. She needs a patient home that understands her past trauma and fear, and can offer one-on-one love, structure, and understanding.

Willow is located in Los Angeles, CA, and is open to a long-distance adoption. She will remain with her current family until a suitable new home is found.
