About Coraline
Coraline is a sweet, laid-back 6-month-old Doberman or Beauceron mix, weighing 45 lbs. She's estimated to reach 85-90 lbs when fully grown. Coraline is a delightful mix of sweet, curious, silly, cuddly, and endlessly entertaining, with a quirky charm that brings smiles every day. Her favorite game is peek-a-boo, and she expresses her playful spirit in the gentlest, funniest ways. Coraline is very people-oriented and loves being near her humans, often following them like a shadow. She's not overly clingy, making her an easy companion, and shows affection through sweet puppy kisses or a gentle paw. She has a calm and balanced temperament, happy to entertain herself with toys or a bone, making her a great work-from-home buddy. Coraline is also incredibly social with people and other dogs, greeting them calmly before continuing to play. She's the best of both worlds: playful yet laid-back, independent yet loving, and goofy yet intuitive. She's sure to be your loyal sidekick and best friend.
Ideal Home
Coraline would thrive in a home that enjoys a mix of adventure and relaxation, with leisurely walks, hikes, outdoor patio outings, or cozy evenings on the couch. She loves being included in her family's daily routine and would be content with short walks and backyard play. She would benefit from a family that understands she's not the most confident in busy public areas yet but has the potential to be an amazing outdoor adventure buddy with more exposure and socialization. She would adore a family that includes her in outdoor adventures while appreciating her calm, affectionate nature at home. Coraline needs a home with a fenced yard for playtime. She needs to live in a home with another dog, as she thrives with canine companionship. No apartments or condos due to her size and potential nervousness in busy areas. She needs her human home more often than not but would do well with doggy daycare a few days a week. No public dog parks.
Ongoing Health
Coraline is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, has been spayed, microchipped, and is on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She has received a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian and any necessary vet care while in rescue.
Training & Support
Coraline is potty trained and kennel trained. She is still working on mastering leash training and needs additional practice to build confidence on walks. She is treat motivated and will walk beside you with rewards. She alerts her foster mom when she needs to go outside by pacing at the back door or can use a doggy door. She needs to be taken out every 3-4 hours initially and kept on a consistent schedule. A doggy doorbell can be helpful if a doggy door is not available.
