Bandit is a sweet, shy senior Rottweiler mix who weighs about 55 pounds and loves cuddles, warmth, and staying close to his trusted humans. He enjoys playing with his foster sister and has a charming, goofy side.

Ideal Home

Bandit should be adopted by an experienced dog handler. He has lived successfully with small dogs, dogs his size, adult men, and adult women, but he needs time to warm up to new people, sounds, and places. The listing records no interaction with cats, and he is not recommended for children under 8.

Ongoing Health

Bandit has hip dysplasia, hyperthyroidism, arthritis, and early-stage kidney disease. If his medication is off, he overexerts himself, or he feels anxious, he may growl or snap. He currently takes Thyro-Tabs, joint supplements, and anti-anxiety medication, costing less than $100 per month.

Training & Support

Bandit is crate-trained, fully house-trained, and walks well on a leash. He is highly treat motivated and is learning to sit, lie down, stay, wait, and be a gentleman. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for complimentary private and/or group training to support a successful adoption.
