Anderson

Anderson was pulled from BARC just hours before a scheduled euthanasia after arriving at the shelter as a stray with a serious injury to his front leg. Despite everything he has been through, he has proven to be an incredibly sweet, easygoing dog who just wants to be close to people. He has handled daily wound care and hydrotherapy with impressive patience, standing calmly through treatment and showing everyone what a good boy he really is.

At around two years old, Anderson is a friendly boy who has remained neutral and respectful around other dogs. He is gentle in nature and seems happiest when he is getting attention or simply hanging out nearby. His injury does not define him, and even while recovering he has maintained a calm, affectionate personality that makes him easy to love.

Anderson is currently in temporary foster care in the Houston area while he continues to heal, but he will need a committed foster or adopter in the coming weeks, ideally on the East Coast. He is looking for a stable home where he can finish recovering and finally settle into a normal routine with people who will give him the care and consistency he deserves.
