Meet Peter! This thoughtful 2 1/2-year-old pup weighs in at a perfect 21 pounds, making him a delightfully compact companion. Peter is a gentle soul who takes his time observing the world. While he may be a little unsure of new people initially, a bit of patience, a few treats, and some kind pets will quickly win him over. Once he's comfortable, he'll be your calm and devoted shadow, happy to just be by your side. He's not one for demanding attention; he's content with quiet companionship.
Peter is a great doggy friend, respectful of other dogs' space and generally prefers those who are also mellow. He's been known to offer a polite correction if another dog gets a bit too boisterous, but he'd rather just mind his own business and enjoy his peaceful routine. He's also done well with cats, displaying his usual unbothered demeanor. With proper introductions, he should adjust well to any feline housemates. Peter walks nicely on leash and enjoys exploring at his own pace. His adaptable nature means he could thrive in an apartment or a home with a yard. He's truly happy wherever his people are. He'd do best in a home with calm, understanding children who can match his gentle energy.
Ideal Home
Peter would thrive with a person or family who understands that building relationships takes time and who can offer him a calm, stable environment. He could do well with other dogs who respect his space, or as an only pet. He may also do best with slightly older, more understanding kids.
