Jimmy

Jimmy, a 1.5-year-old neutered male Pitbull Terrier mix weighing 45 pounds, is a happy-go-lucky boy with two speeds: full throttle and full snuggle! Jimmy is an energetic and affectionate dog who loves making friends with both humans and canines. He's playful, curious, and always ready for a game. When it's time to play, he's mostly high-energy, especially with human attention, but he's also happy to curl up on the couch or lounge nearby afterward. Jimmy is all about connection and wants to be near his people, offering lots of affection and companionship. He has a mischievous smirk that matches his fun-loving personality.

Ideal Home

Jimmy would thrive in an active home where he receives plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. A yard is a bonus but not required; engagement and companionship are most important. He would love a work-from-home human or an active family who includes him in daily life. Another playful dog could be a great match, especially one who enjoys high-energy play. He may be too enthusiastic for very young children without supervision and has not been tested with cats, but may chase at this stage.

Training & Support

Jimmy is still working on his leash manners, as he can pull when excited and is very curious about his surroundings. He is food and praise motivated and eager to learn, so with consistency and solo walks, he will continue to improve. Crate training is a work in progress, but he is making great strides. He has minor early adjustment issues with house-training but is fully trained. He can be left alone for moderate periods (4-6 hours), especially with another dog companion. He has no resource guarding issues.

• We are a volunteer-run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. If you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply.
• If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please ensure you have spoken with them and they are on board.
• A virtual home visit, personal, and vet reference checks are required to complete the process.

Transporation

Jimmy is currently located in Texas and can transport to a city once an adopter is matched. Transport is included in the adoption donation.
