Meet Cohen! This handsome 1-year-old, 55lb pup is a social butterfly who has never met a stranger and gets so excited to say hi to everyone! He absolutely loves to hang out with his people and will walk nicely on a leash. Cohen is a smart cookie who loves to learn and has great focus, especially when treats are involved. He already knows "sit" and "stay" and would be a lot of fun to train further! While he's not a fan of his kennel, he can settle down with time and treats. He's working on his potty training and will need some help from his new family to get to 100%. Cohen has loved having dog friends and would do best with energetic pups who can match his rowdy play style. He has lived with children and done well with them, but he's looking for a home without cats right now.

Ideal Home

Cohen would thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of interaction and training opportunities. He needs a home without cats.

Ongoing Health

Cohen has tested heartworm positive and has received an initial treatment. He will need a second treatment and a recheck to ensure he is in the clear. All treatment phases will be completed at the shelter at no additional cost to the adopter. He will also need to be kept fairly calm until treatment is complete.

Training & Support

Cohen is already working on potty training and will need continued consistency and positive reinforcement from his new family. He is eager to please and loves to learn, making training a rewarding experience.
