Angel

Hi, I'm Angel! I was a stray who was too scared to let people get close for a while. Thankfully, a kind person found me and brought me to ARPO, where I could get help for my dislocated back leg. I had surgery and I'm healing wonderfully! Now, I'm looking for my forever home. I'm a little unsure of strangers and tend to bark at new people visiting the house or seen on walks, but once I get to know them, I'm a total sweetheart. I'm great with dogs, cats, and people of all ages. My foster family thinks I'm a mix of Chihuahua and terrier, and I've got a cute, scruffy look to prove it! My favorite thing in the world is cuddling. I'm happiest when I'm snuggled up on a warm lap. I'm about a year and a half old and weigh around 6 pounds. I've been spayed, microchipped, am up-to-date on my shots, and tested negative for heartworm. I'm also crate-trained and housebroken.

Ideal Home

I'd love a home where I can get to know new people at my own pace. While I'm generally good with everyone once I'm comfortable, I can be a bit wary of strangers initially and may bark.

Ongoing Health

I had surgery to repair a dislocated right rear leg and I'm recovering well!

Training & Support

I'm already crate-trained and housebroken, which is a great start! I do tend to bark at strangers and when I see people on walks, so continued positive reinforcement in these areas would be very helpful.
