Meet Sasha! This sweet, approximately one-year-old pup was found wandering as a stray in the middle of the sugarcane fields in rural Southeast Louisiana. She eventually ended up in a shelter, and sadly, no one ever came to claim her. While the jury is still out on her exact breed – she is definitely a Cattle Dog mix of some sort – we know for sure that she has the most unique, striking look that will make you instantly fall in love. Weighing in at just 21 pounds, Sasha is 100% adorable and ready for a fresh start.
Ideal Home
Sasha absolutely adores everyone she meets, especially children. She is incredibly dog-friendly, and when she was introduced to Julius, the resident cat at the Stray Cafe, she wasn't bothered by him at all.
Ongoing Health
When Sasha first arrived, her skin and coat were in rough shape from a non-contagious condition called Demodex mange. Thankfully, this is easily treated with soothing medicated baths, and she is already on the mend and feeling so much better. Prior to adoption, Sasha will be fully up-to-date on her vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Much to our surprise and delight, she also tested completely heartworm negative!
Training & Support
Sasha has been through so much but remains as loving as ever.
