About Briggs

This little 8-pound doxie/Morkie mix believes every person was put on Earth for one reason: to rub his belly. As far as Briggs is concerned, you're just somebody who hasn't rubbed it yet. He's about 3 months old, all heart, and somehow convinced every dog—whether they're 8 pounds or 80—is his long-lost cousin. He'll bounce right into the middle of the action like he owns the place, then five minutes later be upside down in somebody's lap collecting belly rubs like it's his full-time job. His mama is a sweet little Morkie Dachshund mix under 20 pounds, so we don't expect Briggs to get much bigger. He's basically the travel-size version of pure happiness. Our favorite thing about Briggs is how shamelessly happy he is. Every person is a friend. Every dog is a potential playmate. Every couch deserves a nap. He's the kind of puppy that makes you stop whatever you're doing because, well... it'd honestly be rude not to pet him. We've watched complete strangers turn into mush in about 30 seconds. It starts with one belly rub. Then another. Next thing you know, you're having a full conversation with a puppy like he's been paying the mortgage around here. Fair warning: once Briggs rolls over and flashes that belly, it's over. You're giving the belly rubs... and you're definitely smiling while you do.

Ideal Home

Because Briggs absolutely loves other dogs and takes so much confidence from them, we'd love to see him join a home with another playful canine sibling to show him the ropes. He's the kind of little guy who's happiest when he has both a best friend to wrestle with and a human to snuggle afterward. We recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.

Training & Support

Every rescue pup is a work in progress and that's the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again. Adoption isn't about perfection; it's about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they're finally home. That's when you'll see them bloom soft and steady into the very best version of themselves.
