About Terri

Meet Terri, an adorable 3-month-old black Lab mix with a silky coat and an inspiring story! Terri came to us missing her front right paw, and after veterinary evaluation it was determined that her forelimb needed to be amputated due to infection. Despite everything she has been through, Terri has never let it slow her down.

This happy, active puppy approaches life with enthusiasm and joy. Watching her run and play, you'd never guess she recently underwent surgery. She has excellent balance, impressive puppy speed, and a curious spirit that keeps her exploring the world around her.

Terri is a social butterfly who greets everyone she meets with a wagging tail and plenty of puppy kisses. She loves people and is always ready to climb into a lap for cuddles. Her foster family affectionately calls her "Little Bean" because she is just that sweet. She enjoys carrying around squeaky toys, chasing balls, and flopping over for belly rubs whenever she gets the chance.

Terri has handled her recovery like a champion. During her required crate rest and restricted activity, she stayed calm and content, entertaining herself with puzzle toys, chew toys, and by watching the activities of her foster family from her x-pen. When she wasn't busy supervising the household, she was happily napping.

When it comes to treats, Terri is not picky! She loves puppy favorites like peanut butter, yogurt, cheese, and hot dogs, but she also gets excited about fruits and vegetables, especially cucumbers, strawberries, raspberries, and bananas.

This smart girl is already making great progress with potty training and quickly learned how to use both washable and disposable pee pads. She has also slept through the night in her crate or x-pen since day one.

Like any young puppy, Terri is still learning her manners. She can be quite mouthy during playtime and loves to investigate the world with her teeth. Her foster family jokingly gave her a second nickname, "Piranha," because she won't hesitate to nibble on a hand, pant leg, or anything else that looks interesting. Thankfully, she responds well to redirection with appropriate chew toys and Nylabones.

Terri is a resilient, loving, and incredibly special puppy who is ready to bring joy, laughter, and endless affection to her forever family. If you're looking for a puppy with a big personality, a huge heart, and an inspiring spirit, Little Bean may be the perfect addition to your home.
