Daffy is a charming 2-year-old, 65-pound Plott Hound Mix who is ready to bring his boundless energy and playful spirit to his new family. Rescued from the euthanasia list at BARC in Houston, Daffy was given a second chance and is now eager to find his furever home. He’s a resilient and fun-loving boy who absolutely thrives on activity and companionship.
Ideal Home
Daffy would do best in an active home with an energetic family who can keep up with his zest for life. He adores playing with other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with other playful canine companions. Due to his size and occasional exuberance, a home with children over 10 years old would be most suitable.

Training & Support
Daffy is a smart cookie and is fully house-trained and crate-trained, using his crate as a safe space for meals. He knows his name and will come when called. He enjoys playing fetch and being by his person's side. Daffy is still working on leash manners, sometimes pulling and zigzagging, but he is eager to learn with consistent guidance. When left unsupervised, he may "relocate" household items to the yard, so crating him while you're away is recommended. With patience and positive reinforcement, Daffy will continue to blossom into the wonderful companion he is destined to be.

Transporation
Daffy is currently in a foster home in HOUSTON, TEXAS. He can be transported to an approved adopter once he is matched. Transports run every few weeks, and he will be scheduled on the next available transport after approval.
