Pop

Hello, I'm Pop! I have super soft fur with cute white markings on my nose. I am SO happy all the time and love to snuggle! I enjoy sleeping near the oven when it's on and absolutely adore the snow. My fur is thicker and fuller than most pitties, possibly due to a bit of Border Collie in my mix! I arrived with my brother and sister from New Mexico when I was very young.

I'm proud to say I'm potty trained and will let you know when I need to go out by lying down by the door. I'm also kennel trained, but I must admit, I'm not a fan of being confined. I've discovered I can escape and tend to bark when inside, but I promise not to destroy anything if I'm left out when no one is home. At night, I love to sleep as close to my foster mom as possible – it keeps me warm! I already know "sit," "stay," "wait," and "come," and I'm working hard on "down" and "off."

I'm really obsessed with food, and peanut butter and yogurt are my favorites! While I don't get table scraps, I get plenty of tasty dog treats and will do anything for them. I can be a bit grabby when taking treats, but my foster mom is working with me on being gentle. I live with a wonderful 10-year-old foster sister and have met her friends. I can be a little shy or barky with new people, especially kids, when I first meet them, but I mean no harm. After a few minutes, I warm up and start giving kisses! I'm still learning my manners, so a family with older, dog-savvy children would be ideal for me. I'm not sure what a cat is, but I love other dogs! I'm my slightly younger foster brother's emotional support dog; he needs to be beside me at all times. I love to play with my big foster sister (almost two years old and 55 lbs), enjoying games of tug, keep away, and chase daily. My big foster brother (almost four years old and 96 lbs) tolerates my playful pestering, but I need to be gentle with him as he's recovering from surgery. My favorite doggy activities include wrestling, zoomies, and tug-of-war. I also love going for walks in the neighborhood.

Why am I the very best dog in the whole world? I'm smart and love learning new things! I want to be friends with everyone, even if it takes me a moment to warm up. I love to snuggle and be cherished. I'm eager for adventures and exploring and would make a great hiking buddy and travel companion. Mostly, I just want to be with my people, have a dog friend, and live the best life possible.

My dream day would consist of a morning walk, a good breakfast, lots of playtime, a morning nap, a lunch snack, more playtime, an afternoon nap, dinner, more playtime, snuggles, and a final potty break before bed.

I'm most like Puff the Magic Dragon because my foster mom even made up her own lyrics to the song for me!

My favorite toys include stuffies and hard plastic toys I can chew on. Anything that allows me to play tug is also awesome!

I'd choose to play all day, with long naps in between.

What makes my body wiggle and my tail wag harder than anything? When my people get home and take me out of the kennel – it's time to party!

My dream forever family would have older kids, another dog, and enjoy an active lifestyle. Letting me sleep in bed with someone is a must! I deserve an awesome family that will continue to work with me on my quirks and celebrate my amazingness every day!
