Gina

Gina is an 8-month-old spayed female Belgian Malinois mix, weighing 56lbs. She was found as a tiny puppy abandoned in a cardboard box by the side of a busy road. Despite her rough start, Gina is ready to find a loving home where she can truly thrive. She's a smart, energetic pup who loves toys and enjoys playing fetch. She also has a sweet habit of collecting all her toys and keeping them in her bed.

Ideal Home

Gina would do best in an active home with someone who will play with her daily and provide her with plenty of exercise, play, and enrichment. She is suggested for a home with older, dog-savvy children (10 and up) as she can be jumpy when excited and doesn't realize her size. A home with another dog would be beneficial to keep her company and help her burn off energy. We recommend a cat-free home, as she can be a bit too enthusiastic around neighborhood kitties.

Gina is healthy and has no ongoing health conditions to report.

Training & Support

Gina is crate trained and is working on house training, with no accidents when crated for up to 8 hours. She walks well on a leash and shows no signs of separation anxiety. She is currently in the "puppy velociraptor stage" and will need guidance on appropriate chew items. Due to a past negative experience with larger dogs, she will do best with slow introductions to new dog friends.

Gina is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX. She can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is found. Transports run every few weeks.
