Once she warms up, Checkers is all about the love. Her favorite place? Curled up in your lap, soaking up attention like she's always belonged there. She bonds quickly with her people and will happily be your tiny shadow. When it comes to other pets, Checkers is still figuring things out. She's got strong opinions about other dogs, and that may or may not change. Cats make her nervous, and she does chase them. Checkers would do best with someone who understands her sassy charm and is willing to give her a little patience as she settles in. Ongoing Health
All dogs in our care are kept up-to-date on heartworm and flea prevention. The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet.
Training & Support
Checkers can be a bit spicy when meeting new people or dogs. She will need patience as she settles in.
