Meet Abby! This beautiful 4-year-old Staffordshire Terrier/American Bully mix weighs 64lbs and is as sweet as her name suggests. She's spayed, fully vaccinated, and kept up to date on her monthly preventatives, so she's ready to find her forever family. Abby has a calm, gentle soul with just the right amount of playful fun. She loves spending time with her foster sister, enjoys meeting new dogs with a happy wagging tail and a big smile, and does an amazing job reading other dogs' body language. While she can be a little jealous at times, she's respectful, easygoing, and would be happy as either an only dog or with a well-matched canine companion. Every now and then she gets the cutest case of the zoomies, reminding everyone that she still has a playful side! Abby is fully potty trained, crate trained, and even puts herself to bed each night by happily walking into her crate. She's crated when left home alone and settles in beautifully. She hasn't shown any signs of resource guarding or food aggression, enjoys leisurely walks, handles stairs with no problem, and while she'll ride nicely in the car, it's not exactly her favorite activity. One of Abby's favorite jobs is being a professional cuddle bug. She firmly believes she's a lap dog despite her size and loves being close to her people. She's independent, curious, smart, loyal, and wonderfully calm, but thunderstorms can be scary for her, so she'll seek out a quiet, safe spot until they pass. We don't have any history of Abby living with cats or young children, so we'd recommend a home with older, dog-savvy kids (10+). Her foster describes her best with three simple words: "She's practically perfect." We couldn't agree more. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion with a peaceful heart, a goofy smile, and endless cuddles to give, Abby may just be the missing piece your family has been waiting for.
