Hershey was found wandering the streets of Houston and has since blossomed into a loyal, affectionate, and easygoing companion ready for a forever home. She absolutely adores her people and is happiest when curled up next to you or following you from room to room. Hershey is fully housebroken, does well in her crate, and is great on a leash, enjoying calm walks to sniff and explore. She can be a bit spooked by loud noises like fireworks and thunderstorms, so a calm and secure environment during those times is important. Hershey has had positive experiences with children and would do well in a home with respectful kids. She has also made great progress with other dogs, though her bouncy play style might be best suited for a home where she is the only pet or with a calm, tolerant dog who doesn't mind her enthusiastic approach. We don't have history with cats, so slow, supervised introductions or a cat-free home would be best. Hershey is looking for a stable, loving home where she can continue to thrive and be your loyal sidekick.
